When did you first discover that you enjoy writing and wanted to become a published author? Writing is something that I’ve always done – it’s in my bones. I wrote my first book when I was nine. I can still remember how it felt when the teacher read it out in class (spelling mistakes and all!). That said, it’s something I’ve drifted from and then drifted back to at various times in my life. It’s not until I reached my 30s that I had a real ‘it’s now or never moment’. What is your favorite and the most challenging aspect of writing? My favourite thing about writing is to see where the story goes – that moment of surprise when things happen that you didn’t anticipate. That and meeting new writers and readers.
