About Sade and The Golden Shoe
Sade and The Golden Shoe is a new Nigerian folktale.
Sade, (pronounced Shaw-day) a small girl is the heroine of this unique tale. She along with her best friend, the village
mosquito, saves her village from the curse of a golden shoe found by her father
in a nearby magic lake. The story uses the influences of traditional West
African storytelling, along with customary cadences. The story is similar to
the famed Aesop’s fables and includes a moral that uses animals as significant
figures to relate the message of the story.
The book is quickly becoming a favorite of both
children and adults.
The book comes in several formats including hard
cover, soft cover, ebook, Braille and a Read and Play audio book.
