A Romantic Love Story During the American Revolutionary War:

The sound of hoofs alerted him that they were close by. Benjamin was weak but he summoned up strength to run, there was no way they would get him. Too much was at stake.

He paused to take a breath when he could no longer hear the sounds. He knew they were still around and it was a trap to see if he would come out. He was not that stupid.

Silently he made his way pass the cloth lines, looking out for danger. He stopped when he heard a sound, his heart pounded faster. He knew what would happen if he was caught; they would interrogate him with drastic measures before killing him.

He suddenly stepped back when he collided with a body. That moment a thought occurred; a means of getting rid of the British. Without thinking twice, he grabbed the young lady and kissed her.

He was stunned when he met soft lips. It had been a cover to divert their attention but he enjoyed it. He ignored her slaps on his chest and continued kissing her deeply, savoring her taste. He could barely see her face but he knew she was soft all over.

“Stop fighting.” He warned aggressively, the last thing he wanted was for her to make the soldiers believe otherwise.

“He's no where in sight.” A voice yelled a few inches from them.

There were a few mumblings and Benjamin relaxed when he heard the horses go away.

A slap greeted him catching him unaware.

“You bastard!!” yelled a soft voice matching the mouth he had kissed.

A piercing pain seared through him, he clutched his stomach and bent over, he cursed as he swam into unconsciousness.
